This nice Baraccini devil anse arrived for me yesterday, started the breaking in of it last night with some 1792 flake. Sorry no photo of that as I left my phone at work

Picked up this 313 last week, it was in very poor condition and looked like it had never been cleaned, it took 3 salt treatments to get the bowl in a smokeable state and the stem was also stuck.




Overall very happy with the end result

Just received this Rattray Fachen second today, the only thing I can find wrong with it is the bowl looks to be slightly off centre, other than that a very nice pipe.





I also got this very nice Stanwell royal guard 227 in the post

I do like that amber sparkly stem. The recent Stanwell Royal Guard looks great as well. As to Rattray's, I guess it's to the practical BOTB/SOTB's benefit that their standards are so high. If you want premium quality, it's there; if you want total functionality with almost unnoticeable issues, it's there.

I guess Dunhill White Spot and Parker are similar. I'd love a White Spot one day, but would almost be scared of it.

Loose Cube and very nice tobacco. Slight taste off the new pipe I think. I've tried the charcoal filter in and out - can't make my mind up but it's smoking rich and cool without...
