With the sad demise of GQ, I sort of got the PAD and bad.

Butz Choquin Bel Sablee (a dinky sandblasted number which will sit on a little flat polished area along the shank)
Butz Choquin Le Noire (a "ladies" opera pipe, which was apparently a nineteenth century marketing ploy, but a matte black churchwarden-ette)
Peterson Irish Made Army #999 (always wanted a real army mount)

I know! The "which one next" is good fun! It looks extravagant, but I figured, well looked after, some of these will become "estate" and outlast me.

It's beautifully made, feels delicate but sturdy, and the outward canted bowl has an excellent old fashioned (even eighteenth century) look.

Yeah, a victim of regulation. Glynn didn't want to end up being a vendor with "standard stock". A lot of his custom blends were/are great (very partial to askwith kake and Clementine's Nip). And they'd all go.

So I ordered up some stuff and sent a message wishing him all the best and buying before the final sale to show support to a brother of the briar. I got a nice message back. And continue to check in from time to time and pick things that look good

He in turn has sent me a bumper bag of corn cobs.
