Gents, with this it seems kilner are the way forward. I'm not talking for pipe baccy, more for storage of Tubos, does anyone use the push lid Tubos or is everyone talking about the clip lock, the push lids seem wider and would fit better. I currently have them in ikea jars but after advice from Wigan I thought I better upgrade.

I couldn't see the image at the beginning of this thread but have just transferred my 965 into clip lock kilner jars like the image below which are kept in a dark cool filing cabinet draw so I just wanted to check that I'm doing the right thing here with regards to storing tobacco for future use?

Where do you get your screw tops from?

But what's in jars I'll smoke might take me six months to a year to empty some . But my regular smoke , 965, nightcap , deluxe navy rolls , Germain's special latakia and rich dark flake , warrior, mcquaid and 3ps I have full tins of all in storage to replenish jars . Best way to store and age is in an unopened tin

So what's the optimum age for pipe tobacco?

The tin in the jar if it fits or take the tobacco out.

Sealed in the jar kept in a cupboard they'll keep fine.
