For you new pipe smokers , we are lucky to live in the modern age with internet , social media , YouTube etc , which certainly helps shorten the learning curve , and although I've smoked a pipe off and on for twenty years an entertaining and informative fella on you tube is Bradley an American , his channel is called ' stuff and things ' a great watch for pipe and tobacco related topics . I have taken the advice oskihen offered and always take it out of the tin and keep it in jars, it keeps very well. I have a pouch that I put enough for a few bowls in, it's a hand rolling pouch and it helps dry it out enough to put straight in my pipe and smoke.
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment as you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it!

What do they mean oskihen you can only use the seals once came across this article.

The seal can only be used once while the band can be used up to 10 times. Dishwasher safe, not microwaveable

Any pipe smokers know how to label the
tobacco kilner jar lids with labels of the tobacco
                    they smoke for example erinmore
And other tobaccos that come in tins
looks nicer than ordinary white labels

Thanks oskihen see that website earlier on
                        to complicated for me
might try if I can taking the labels of the tins
without damaging them if that fails then got no choice but use the white labels and stick then on the front instead
