So just to check were all on the same page. Is the plan to buy a tin divide the cost by the number of participants then send each person their share or are we sending a set amount with the host keeping the remainder? I'm happy with either option tbh.

The plan is each month the host buys his choice of pipe tobacco and sends a sample to the others 10g , no one has to pay just do the same on their turn . You can choose any blend you wish and then we can all broaden our horizons whether it's flake , kake, aromatic , traditional English blend the choice is the hosts .

Just had a pipe of gq English blends not a bad smoke a little bit bland to be honest but sitting here twenty minutes later got a fair nicotine buff off it , surprising !!! Didn't seem that strong a smoke its been three/ four years since I last smoked a pipe and with smoking cigars since my pallete has changed a bit but pipe smoking is a different entity to cigars I may prefer slightly aromatic blends in a pipe . My favorite has always been flakes, they give a nice long slow smoke

Found your pictures in another thread and it is the same stuff as I am smoking.
This monthly pipe club needs a bit more thought as could just order a 10g sample bag from GQ direct to each member.
the current method doesn't save us any money, in fact costs a lot more with extra postage...
Could we suggest a club via GQ sign up for a year, possibly pre pay for the year, and get a free one. Maybe at Christmas. Voted for by us. Or something.

I'd probably buy a 100g tin of a tobacco I like post 10g bags in a letter with I first class stamp on and keep the rest for me , and then receive in the post some tobacco monthly without having to order, or pay ,

That might be a good idea for the next round or even another thread.
Let's stick with what we've started here Wiggy, as people can send samples that may not be available from GQ or their sampler range. If you'd like to use that service for your hosting, fire away"Go you good things...geddem int'ya"

After sending packages today the penny has finally dropped on this one.
We are going to be sending them as letters for pence rather than packages for pounds like with cigars. Now I get it!
Side not : The difference between a 100g tin and ten 10g bags is just a few pence so I could be well up for some groups buys as well as doing this monthly club
