Morning guys.
I like the idea of this but for me I'd prefer not to blind taste. I'm relatively new to pipes still so it would enable me to find exactly where my tastes lye. Part of the enjoyment for me is comparing notes with reviews ,often as I smoke to see if I can taste what they did.

Like Tucky I'm newer to pipes than I am cigars, and I like the idea of the Monthly pipe club.

An idea, instead of someone buying a bulk of tobacco and splitting themselves and incurring the price of postage and worrying about weighing etc how about the more experience pipe smokers suggest a tabacco for the given month and we can order our own sample(s) and pay postage once, the more experienced guys can give us hints on what to expect and be a guide as such.

This means member wouldn't have to worry much about commitment as such as people who fancy giving it a go can see what's being sampled and from where to buy some and join in.

Then further down the road say 12 months hopefully we'd have a core group and the newer guys like myself would be ready for blind tastings and then there could be a host for that month [emoji6]

I'm easy either way , I don't think blind tastings were ever really on the cards , just trying different blends etc and introducing us all to the hundreds of different pipe tobaccos and tastes.
I do understand your thoughts regarding costs but it is a really cheap smoke unlike cigars , and postage is just a stamp on a letter pop it in the post box .
If you order just a sample 10 g it'll be ? 2.50 /3.00 plus postage every month .
I'd rather order a tin when it's my turn send everyone a sample and details of the blend in a letter and not have to keep ordering small samples every month until it's my turn again .
