I've had access to scientific scales in the past (that could weigh a full stop), but alas that was in a previous employment life. My scales for any measuring out in the kitchen are very rudimentary and I wouldn't rely on them for anything accurate in small increments. I like the suggestion though Oski, cheers

Going by GQ's website 10g is around ?2.50 to ?3

Hmmmmmmmm.... I've had a lot of UK mates who sell analytical scales for the cheap.
I'll post it up here the next time it shows up.

A good way to calibrate a milligramme scale is to weight out distilled water. 1cc should weigh exactly 0.998grammes at room temperature
