  • Dunhill Flake Review

This is my first go at a written tobacco review so please be kind!

I picked up a tin of this from my smoking shop.

Initial thought are that this is a rich and flavoursome tobacco. The flake is nice and dark and had an oily texture.

The Initial light was plesant with a nutty flavour coming thorough. It burns well and I've only had a couple of re lights.

I was smoking this in an mm cob. I got a little bite when it started to get hot.

There are some chocolate notes with a lovely fresh tobacco taste. Hardly and nicotine and a pleasant smoke on a windy but sunny late morning.

I know someone wanted my thoughts on this baccy. My advice is to pick up a tin of this very pleasant smoke.
    Cheers

Yeah, good review! Do you think the wind added to the heat?

        Many thanks for the review.

I am not a pipe smoker - the problem I have at 1a St James's, as 'the home of Dunhill Tobacco', we have all the blend recipes of the range and the official reviews - but nothing from the people who actually matter.

Any more Dunhill tobacco reviews gratefully received!

By the way two of the original blends are being re-launched soon.
I'm sure there are greater things in life than a fine cigar ........... but right now I can't think what they might be.

I think it made it burn a bit quicker but I was in a sheltered place so not too bad.

It has made me want to try more Dunhill. I think I will look to get some 965 and nightcap to smoke. What are the old blends that are coming back?

Thats great news and I will certainly purchase them when they come out....for me, Dunhill has proven to be the best range of pipe tobacco I have tried... It's quite safe to say that I am somewhat of a Dunhill fanboy when it comes to pipe blends.

I know one is Durbar (Oriental / Latakia) but I will need to check the other and let you know.

Perhaps you need a couple test pilots to make sure it's up to scratch?

                      Hahaha

                              Too kind!

Well I have the price list - It says 'Arriving soon' but I will get an exact date. I understand all the tobacco is from the same factory.
