  • Wardjrz's second pipe....

...a sandblasted full bent billiard with black cherry stain and matching red cumberland saddle stem. The draw is wide open for easy combustion and less relights. The gap between the mortice bottom and tennon face is 1mm to allow for expansion but will not allow moisture build up which leads to gurgling and a wet smoke. The tennon is made from teflon, so it fits nice and snug and will never squeak when removed or seize up in the mortice. The airway has been properly ramped so a fluffy pipe cleaner slides easily right to bottom of the tobacco chamber. No black coating inside the chamber which can often taste nasty during break-in. Nomenclature reads: Larrysson Handmade Cornwall England 2012

Fantastic workmanship! Just had a look at your website, true works of art, problem is they look far too good to smoke from!

A bit like that but more of a Mexican sugar skull style.

Ouch! Different strokes for different folks! But I guess some of my own shapes will be an "ouch" moment for others!

Heehee! This "skull" pipe was quite popular back in the 50s, which is where it's from.

Paul has made this pipe for me in return for a combination of Cuban Cigars and cash. The price was very reasonable - so much so that I asked if he was making any money from the deal.

At all stages he has asked what I wanted and offered expert advice when I didn't know (which was most of the time). I picked the shape, colour and finish of the pipe, the stem shape and colour as well as the bowl width and shape so this is my pipe. It is made from scratch, so lots of hours of work has gone into it.

I haven't recieved it yet so more comments will follow when it arrives and (pics of it lit) when I smoke it but so far I am very impressed and would recommend it to anyone thinking about a new pipe.
