Your best bet is try a few mixed styles, id suggest.
1 x American Style aromatic - Gawith Hoggarths - Cherry & Vanilla
1 x European Aromatica - Mac Baren Vanilla Cream or Ratrrays Bag Pipers Dream
1 x Virginia Blend - Peterson - University Flake (Smoked slowly like a slim panatella)
1 x "English" (i hate that term) - Gawith Hoggarths - Louisiana Flake or Dunhill - Early Morning Pipe
That way you can try the styles and see whats best for you, starting on Aromatics is easy but try the others styles.
Giving a new smoker something that can bite if smoked wrong isnt always a bad idea, i have been disputing that for a while. If it trains you to smoke and pack correctly from the word go, its a good thing. Saying that 75% of my newbie smokers go the route of a American AromaticComment
