I've another half bent estate on its way, ,but it's very plain compared. I'd like to mod a bowl to have a cob on it one day when I've got a bit of time to spare. I've another idea, but its ambitious. If I can get it off the ground, I'll share it.

Actually got a "that smells good" from MLW and a house guest, so I was in the zone for a cheeky puff indoors. I got a coupke of positives from people pottering passed me a few days back whilst I skulked waiting outside a coop. And joy of joys, the lady I sent the pipe care/introduction parcel too is reborn a SOTL and will be requiring more supplies soon!
Aside from that maple fellow, I've been smoking a few "delayed gratification" pipes I have had set aside. A Lovat with some Ennerdale Mixture, which improves significantly with drying and even a halted slightly too moist smoke to set it drying in the bowl. And a Zulu with St. James Flake, two days dried in it. The aforementioned house guest picked up a strong cherry/plum odor in the room note, so that's probably good!

It's a little like holding a chair leg as you're smoking it, but somewhat allegorically, in a good way.
In it is some Gawith Hoggarth No. 7 broken flake, dried out gently overnight and crumbled before packing. It's vaguely aromatic, floral and I'm told a really nice room note.Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment as you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it!
