Ennerdale Flake while listening to Kings of Leon... It's doing the job!

Kendal Black and Brown that I put in a jar ages ago and forgot I had. It's smoking beautifully, it's a tad dryer than I tend to smoke.

It's a shame I only have a handful of bowls left from this batch.

Gawith Grasmere Flake and Buffalo Trace, the grasmere is a Rose and Geranium cased Aromatic and while this isn't a blend I would smoke regularly it's actually proving to be quite a nice change of pace... The floral soapy ness is to my mind quite old fashioned and I could imagine a Victorian gent puffing away on a bowl of this.... I think brandy would have been a better match though.

Mac Baren Virginia Flake in a small BBB Apple. Very clean flavour.

germain's special latakia flake in my gbd that I refurbished myself. Totally opposite with aromatics, smells not so good(maybe considered terrible), bit taste amazing! Strongly recommend to ones who want to start latakia blends. Very smooth and sweet smoke with coco and woody flavours.

I had delivered today a little pipe starter kit from Gauntleys which includes some Gauntleys Cherry and Vanilla... Popping my pipe cherry this evening

How strange, I was just reading about the Germain's blends and was going to post asking people about their experiences.... Other than Special Latakia, I'm interested in Brown Flake, Plum Cake and Rich Dark Flake.

i have tried brown flake as well. it is a very meaty taste, maybe a little to meaty for my taste. similar with the irish flakes on the market. if you like strong straight virginias, it would be a treat. as for plum pudding, buy the mcc on instead, the topping on germain's is too heavy for a balanced smoke and it burns pretty hot. be sure to check out rich dark flake, probably my favourite germain and favourite virginia flake. so many nice flavours and real cool and rich smoke. burns alot better than sg fvf, very similar profile but lighter and stronger rum taste.
