Sam Gawith Black Cherry, I always like how subtle the flavours are on this one. Very easy going smoke.

Dunhill Flake, folded 3x3 and stuffed. Clean, non-cased all Virginia taste, and and delicious.

Samuel Gawith Full Virginia Flake - absolutely fabulous down to the bottom.
The charring light was simply sublime, and despite regular relights due to the tobacco being moist the flavours and smell are hard to beat.
I rubbed this one out and packed three parts.
Highly recommended.

Samuel Gawith Virginia Plug. Same baccy as Full Virginia Flake but in plug form. It's not as sweet and it tastes slightly earthier. It is reported to burn cooler than FVF and give less tongue bite but I've been bitten early on. Perhaps a little hasty in getting a light.
Smoked along side Viking Dark snuff, the nicotine rush is quite something.

I am yet to try snuff, I take it that your talking nasal snuff rather than wet snuff "snus"? I'm not sure if it would be for me, I only intake tobacco products to relax and savour the taste.
I should give some a go I suppose before I make my mind up, it's cheap enough!Licky Licky before Sticky Sticky. - Puff Scotty 22/03/14

Samuel Gawith Full Virginia Flake, dried and fully rubbed out. Accompanied with a DIY blend of McChrystals Menthol and Viking Dark. A great combo making the flavours of the tobacco taste much more pronounced. It might have something to do with the nasal passages opening fully and the menthol livening up the sense of smell.
Also enjoying a a couple of bottles of fine Peroni whilst listening to 'In Rainbows' by Radiohead.
Super chilled and loving it.

Today was a bowl of 40 year old Dunhill Ye Olde Sign...and very rich dark virgina in a shag cut. I thought it similar to McCraines Red Ribbon 1983 crop, but with more depth. Only have enough for about two more bowls or one big one. I was given a sample of this by a good friend, and it will be my first and last taste of this tasty blend. A rare treat indeed. I'll probably save the last bit for a special occasion, if I can hold off until then!www.larryssonpipes.comsigpic

MacBaren Vanilla Cream Loose Cut - very nice smelling and looking tobacco; rich, full, creamy aroma; perfect level of moisture straight from a brand new tin; burns good with no relights; zero tongue bite; delightful vanilla room note; mild and creamy taste but far from bland.
Smoking in a Meerschaum corn cob pipe.
The tobacco was gifted to me me by one our suppliers recently returning from holiday. What a nice man indeed.
Recommended? Very much so.
