Nice one nub
You'll soon get the hang of it, you will know when to stop puffing as you near the end of the tobacco it's starts burning hot and harsh
bit like cigars as you get near the end .
Thanks Tony, like anything it just takes a few goes to get the hang of it[emoji2]
Nice one mate , glad you liked the 965 . If you have trouble getting to the bottom of the bowl try letting the pipe have a cooling off period for a bit and light it up again and try smoking slowly so as not to burn too hot , it's good when breaking a pipe in to smoke the bowl to ash

Yeah, lovely flavour so a great recommendation thanks[emoji106] Half the problem was that I was outside trying to get the last bit re-lit with matches. I'll continue smoking a few more 1/2 bowls to break the pipe in and I must admit that so far I'm really enjoying what the Pipe has to offer[emoji2]

I thought you might say something like that!![emoji57] As I'm going to dedicate pipes to tobacco genre, I've already been looking at other pipes in order to try some Virginia. Any recommendations regarding pipe and tobacco?

I'd suggest as opposed to tobacco to pipe , I'd recommend when you get a pipe get a nice decent thick piece of briar . It's all experience and trial and error . I now use six of seven pipes in my rotation , but have given away a few and some in a drawer that just don't do it for me or are bad smokers .

Pipe tobacco are like cigars you need to try a few flakes and mixtures to see what you like and don't like
the joice of pipe tobacco is huge.
When I first started out it cost me quite a bit trying the loose range of pipe tobacco as well as the pre packed one's
till I found what I like.

Exciting![emoji13] Although I feel that I'm off to a good start thanks to [MENTION=13409572]oskihen[/MENTION] as I love the 965 he recommended![emoji39]
So you use the Peterson standard system? have you tried the deluxe & what's the benefit in your opinion?

No haven't tried the deluxe , only system I've got , two other Peterson's one p'lip, all my other pipes normal and tbh all smoke the same . Found system can help a bit with pipe gurgle , but don't get that much anyway as due mainly to wet baccy and too fast smoking
