Do you find you get a better flavoursome smoke from a bigger pipe rather than a small to medium one.

I can let it sit in my mouth quiet comfortably Tony, but as with cigars I generally smoke in a comfy chair and let my mind wander . But that's the art of a good pipe maker , even though the bowls big it doesn't really feel uncomfortable grouped between the teeth . I do use rubber pipe bits to protect the stems .

Hi oskihen it does get used plenty, it's the jet flame I use to light up outdoors that's charred the lip. I've mullered my Hardcastle aswell. They're used and abused, not shelf queens!

Yes I have noticed the rubber bit on the stem does it feel funny compared to not having one on.

No if anything Tony it feels strange smoking a pipe without one. Because it's rubber you can bite hard onto it and gets good grip .
