Some Lakeland floralness present in this Bobs Chocolate Flake, this pipe got packed over a month ago but then I wrapped it in cling film put it away & forgot about it!
It's the kind of pipe that overheats really easily so has to be smoked extremely gently.
Ashton's rainy day. A new tin for me. Mixed reviews I know but looking forward to getting it lit shortly

Edit- Nearly at end of a large bowl. Enjoyed this a lot. Bowl stayed cool. Cool smoke and no bite. As reviews there is little reflection of tin aroma but I like the slightly fruity coolness of this. A relight half way down only and I didn't really take much of a drink with it which I've found my habit with aromatics. Smoked outside still enjoyed its plentiful white clouds. A little bit of that "gummy sweet" mouth taste but very little right at start. Albeit new to pipes I found I keep the pipe in my mouth far longer than anything I've tried so far. A light nicotine hit. Glad I took this from the ever helpful Robert Graham Glasgow staff

...They're probably drinking whiskey and smoking big cigars...
That's a lovely picture. I've wanted a clay pipe for a bit - a wildly speculative question, but, what are they like?
Cheers Mooseman Well, apart from obviously getting hot down the business end, great smokers and which really bring out a wealth of nuances in tobaccos that other pipes just don't seem to. That's been confirmed by some guys that smoke clays on a more regular basis. I'd certainly recommend getting one. Fairly cheap investment I'd say
Having some gawith hogarth dark scented flake in this little clay cutty that arrived for me today. This is the first time I've tried a clay pipe and I would recommend having one in your collection, it's smoking really well

Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment as you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it!
What's in your pipe Ali87 ?
Erinmore mixture in a cob, very light & mild.
That was orlicks golden sliced.
Tonight I've cracked into the Godfrey Phillips Grand Cut Flake. It's a tad dry (a packet from a friend's grandfather's old selection, we think from the 60s) but has a pleasant taste to it
