P.S. I've no idea what I did differently (ie hopelessly wrong) this time, but I kept getting mouthfuls of disgusting liquid out of the pipe, which is a 9mm filter, so the liquid was passing through activated charcoal. I gave up, emptied the pipe and discovered the sizeable dottle was not particularly wet. There was no gurgling, just "fluid". Neither pipe nor tobacco have done this before; though I have read Mac Baren is known to bite if you overdo it (which I don't think I was doing).

I've only had this when out in the cold... I assumed condensation in the stem.... Might be wrong. Recently someone was talking to about wet smoking..., baccy moist from the pack. I've noticed lots of BOTB seem to leave their tobacco to air/ dry after cutting n rubbing esp with flake & plug. I've done the same with american style aro's which are sopping wet otherwise.... I dont know how/ if folk can smoke them direct from the jar/ pack....
