A pleasant smoke. Predominantly Latakia, almost identical to Pirate Kake, more soft and smoother than Nightcap or Lancer's Slices (the other Latakia baccy I've tried). I would've called it Black Pudding because that's what it tastes like imo. Plum Pudding suggest a fruit topping/casing.
You've smoked a lot more of it than I, have you anything you'd add to that CJ? [emoji848][emoji106]
Today after a break of a few days. I smoked a whole bowl of roll cake deluxe crumbled fine into my petit savinelli. It had been sitting there for a few days, drying and looking at me. It was worth the wait. It was beautifully behaved and smoked cool (difficult in such a slender pipe I think?) and left no dottle, just a little ash.
Pipe, feet up, heating on, listening to Credence. It was good.
Roll cake deluxe again in a Zulu. I packed it differently this time (rough and stuff half way, topped by a shredded musket ball), and it is really startling how different it tastes. I'm not sure if I'm picking up a ghost, remains of supper, or the tobacco has hidden depths. Tasty though.

Reason: Stupid autocorrect
Managed to bag myself another 317 for the great price of ?12.79 including postage. It came without a mouthpiece, but I had a spare. Think it was only smoked a couple of times too. So having some bold kentucky to celebrate

Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment as you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it!

Black Pudding, brilliant[emoji5] I find that sipping makes it sing a bit further than the Latakia: sweet, savoury, a little spicy and a dark fruit comes out a bit. My palate for pipe tobacco seems better than on the sticks TBH. Try a real gentle sip SJ and see if it offers any more mate. Also, a bit of jar time improves it as with many.

Cheers Matt. It's a right phat b'stard and doesn't even fit in the leather stand!
i can see how pipe acquisition disorder can take a hold... a cheeky wee nose warmer is highly appealling... although i have to say i am a fan of a deep and luxurious bowl!!!
