BTW, as Mitch hinted on this thread, C.Gars Ltd is now the sole importer of the Fuente line for the UK. A real coup, and means many of us can now get hold of these excellent smokes easily. Some may be interested in my blog on the beautiful Cameroon wrapper which cloaks so many of this line here http://bit.ly/pOZqUo

I have a few Chateau Fuente sticks ... the other day I tried an Opus X Reserva. I really wanted to like this cigar but it was slightly damaged and I could not decided whether it had suffered an accident or was simply poorly put together. As it was in a 3 pack with a metal outer, damage didn't seem likely. I shall give another one a go later tonight and report back.

On the strength of all the positive reviews on this thread, I fired up my single Short Story and can only agree with the general consensus; it's a damn fine smoke. Took a few minutes to get past the 'nipple' end, but once it got past the initial section, the draw and volume of creamy smoke was terrific. My taste buds (and olafactory receptors) are still getting to grips with the finer, subtle tones of cigar smoke; in the meantime, I thought this was a cracking cigar - most enjoyable - and I can definately see myself investing in a box/bundle of these in the future.

** EDIT **
Just wanted to add that for the very first time, I managed to smoke a cigar that held it's ash well - over half it's length, in fact... I'm guessing this is down to good construction?Last edited by sbthang; 08-07-2011, 03:28 PM.
