Never had the torpedo but found the Double Robusto and Lancero quite enjoyable. Having said that, i have yet to smoke an NC that i keep going back to. Still fun to try this stuff for a change now and again.

Well I am in receipt of a box of 24 Oliva Serie V Ligera Especial Torpedo, an Oliva 60 count humi, a Nub case/cutter/punch gift set and several other goodies for Oliva (as a thank-you for a little favour). Trying to decide what to do with it all (Mrs Monkey was not impressed by this huge box that arrived, I told her I did not ask for, or pay for it ...not sure she believed me ).

Any more thoughts on these Monkey? I had a serie V double robusto a couple of days ago which I really enjoyed and am interested in trying others from the range. Would you recommend these?

I enjoy the Serie V torpedo; it's my favorite vitola of a very nice blend (although it's just about equivalent to the double robusto). The Serie V is heavy on the ligero, so it can be pretty strong to someone who doesn't have a lot of NC experience (honestly, a Serie V makes anything from Bolivar seem like a solid medium-body cigar, at most). However, all that ligero brings with it some nice flavors. If you have access to Oliva cigars and they're not too expensive, I would say it's a cigar worth trying once. It's one of the few NCs that I always keep a handful of in my humi.
