Top Non-Cuban suggestions please!

Hey guys,

So as any of you who read my introduction a few days ago will know, Im currently in LA and have the chance to go to the Grand Havana Rooms here next week! Due to them having, possible the most vast and superior selection of NC in the LA area I thought I would see what you guys suggest as the ultimate, cant be missed NC for my first smoke whilst im there?

I will also be asking the staff their for their recommendations, and will let you know what they pick out for my second smoke!

have not had a lot of N/C but the one i really enjoy is the Padron 1926 a bit pricey but thats what i would go for if it has to be a N/C

I haven't tried many NC smokes, ones that I liked are the Padron Anniversary Principe, Fuente Dos Carlos No4, Oliva Serie 5 Torpedo and Nub Sungrown.

Just today I have had a sample delivery of a Rocky Patel Robusto Maduro 1990, Quorum Robusto and a Cain Sun Grown 654T.

Give the Don Pepin Garcia Black Label 2001 (they come in a range of sizes and shapes) a go. The Toro Gordo beats the pants of most Cuban cigars. Smooth and silky ... the perfect balance of cream and spice.

My daughter's in studying at Irvine so let us know how any great places to go cigar wise.

Fuente Short story is a great smoke, also I love the CAO La Traviata Divino. This is a great smoke and you can pick them up for under $5 in the US. Alos Olivia V serise.

Thanks for this information Pandy, from this I just went to our shop around the corner and picked up a couple of the Divino's, as well as a couple of the Favorito's too for dinner tomorrow night! Will let you know how they smoke!

Some good recommendations there Gary. The only brand I would add to that list would be Rocky Patel. I have smoked lots of these now and they are on the money IMO.

Fuente Between the lines, short story, Work of Art are all good smokes.
Padilla 1932s and Oliva V can hold there own.
RyJ Real Reservas make for a mild alternative.
