Could I ask the forum members if they know the current status regarding production / export of this cigar to the UK (in particular the Reserve de Chateau). It used to be one of my favourite NCs but I haven't seen any around for a long time. Were they affected by the hurricanes of a couple of years ago, as I seem to remember reading that they use tobacco from a specific plantation to make these cigars - any information / updates would be much appreciated. Nick.

The guys at JJ Fox import these I think, give them a ring, ask for Jean and she will give you the low down.Nic

Dont know much about current production but the prices are now ridiculous for these babys.
I have got 1 left in the humi from a few singles I bought in the states, basically I cant bring myself to smoke it now. I suppose aging the bugger wont hurt anyway...

Alot of the Opus X line are ridiculous prices both here and across the water in my opinion. They are of course a great NC cigar, but personally I prefer Padron's, while I think Tats, Pepin Garcia or Illusione cigars offer better value for money.
A little off the topic I know, sorry, just my 2 cents worth."The best cigar you'll ever smoke is the one you're smoking at the minute" - Zino Davidoff

hey gary,
was in miss moran's last week...... Arturo Fuente opus X robusto was ?22.50, more expensive than the cohiba robusto (by 50p)!!!!! miss moran's are selling VR famosos for ?12, RASS ?13.50.... the CoRo is over priced already IMHO, so how does the the AF opis X robusto justify itself by being nearly twice the price of the vr famosos and rass, 2 of the best robustos out there (again, IMHO)?
all the best,
alex
