Interesting find, lad. I've enjoyed a few Griffin special editions left from a box I bought many years ago. I think they are '05s, but I'll take a look when I get home. FYI - It's a damn fine smoke, for an NC....Damn fine, indeed!

TJ's massive unit and found two Griffin's Special Editions XX (so it must be an earlier edition - 04 perhaps). Don TJ bought this box after trying one with 
Pappy Coro many years ago.
pinhead and I sparked 'em up. A bit too loose for my taste, but the smoke was velvety and mild. Lot's of pepper to the nose. Overall, not bad. 
bite towards the end, which I corrected with a flambe purge. That brought it back to life. 
pinhead and I thought it was a good smoke and would gladly smoke another, but not as good as I remembered and I probably wouldn't buy a box of 'em.
