Just wanted to post a quick review on a great little cigar ive smoked a few of over the last 2 weeks.
The cigar in question is a Don Pepin Garcia creation for Nestor Miranda, and is a fine smoke indeed.
Im reviewing the Oscuro , a Rosada version is also available which i havent tried yet.
Size - Robusto
Lets start with the cigars appearance. The cigar had a few veins, nothing overly bad, the colour was very nice, a deep chocolate brown.
The cigars aroma was of chocolate with a hint of cedar and a cuban like earth flavour, the prelight draw was of the same with a nice open draw. I actually liked the taste of the wrapper, i could have sat there and chewed it rather than smoke it.
The first inch or so gave me a blast of spice, almost pepper , which tingled my tongue for a good few minutes. This is something i like in cigars, seems to wake up the taste buds.
The rest of the cigar was a fine balance of chocolate and cocoa, sweet and bitter rolling around the tongue, with just a hint of coffee left on the tongue after having a drink of water. I enjoyed this aftertaste which lasted a good hour after finishing the cigar.
Something else i wanted to mention, this cigar aroused a lot of memories for me. I dont know if it was the flavour or the aroma, but it reminded me of my first cigar i smoked last August, sat in the leather chair smoking a hand rolled Sosa at downtown disney in Florida. For the entire hour it took me to smoke it, it took me back to that pivital moment in my life, the moment i became a cigar smoker.
For the money, these are great value cigars that i can recomend to anyone. Sorry for the amateuristic review, im working on them lol.
As a final line, in the review style of Trishield -
