This is my first review guys , i dont consider myself learned enough to rate them with numbers, so just a quick review and my thoughts.

Firstly, Mike has been on at me for ages to try these, i was hesitant for 2 reasons, Firstly im not a lover of light wrappers, second , after the Man o War Ruination, i didnt want to spoil my thoughts on them "knowing" i wouldnt like this.

So going into this i already didnt like them, that was to change.

Firstly, almost every lighter or connecticut wrapper i have had has always been shabby looking, possibly due to the fact the wrappers seem to take on marks when handled. These looked very nice indeed, quite smooth , no marks and in great conditions. The cigar band is large and bold, and really stands out.

Clipped and prelight draw was perfect, just right resistance and what my untrained palette detected as earthy flavours.

Lighting was easy, again i have had scorch problems with light wrappers , but this was great. The burn all along was razor tight, no touch up required at all.

So down to the smoke itself. The cigar produced clouds of smoke, flavour wise its a very mellow smoke indeed. A complete shock as the ruiniation is so strong in comparison. I got a hint of spice in the first few minutes, the earthiness continues all the way along, the cigar is just smooth from start to end. I havent experienced a cigar so mellow and enjoyable before, a real treat to be honest.

The ash was a compact perfect grey white that clung on well, and as i said earlier the burn was perfect.

I wont rate it with a number, but i would buy a box of these for sunday afternoons in the garden, and at the price, around $30 for 5 they cant be beaten.

If anyone wants any more info, please dont hesitate to ask, sorry in advance for the amateuristic and rushed review, im sure i will eventually improve.

Now this is interesting. SeanP, Jimmeh and myself had an outdoor smoke the other day and this cigar was in the back of my head. At the time I could not remember the name but eventually I got to the point, Jimmeh is trying to arrange a few sticks of these for us to try. I wont expect anything too strong then.

Good review Lee, I got what I wanted out of it.

To develop your style you will have to start detecting the flavours of:
      1. Fruits
      2. Nuts
      3. Minerals
      4. most advanced of all; damp animals

I have a pretty decent palette, did a few wine courses in the past and developed it over time. I find it a lot harder to describe cigar flavours though, i suppose i havent been smoking them long enough lol.

              Thanks for the input Lee!

I'm a fan of the MOW and the Ruination but like you, not a fan of Connecticut wrappers or lighter wrappers in general with very few exceptions. But I hear good things about this one and might have to give it a go...just in the am with some coffee

Good review Lee. Sounds like a good daytime smoke.

good review , got a 10er on the way over here as i speak. had a couple from Mike before as he knew i like the MOW figuardo. Also a similar stick to these is the RP Signature, very nice mellow smoke also.

My reviews consist of one of two phrases.
                      It Sucks
                      or
                      Does not suck

So your review was quite exemplary, thank you Sir!

There is a sharp bite in the beginning , about a third of the way there is a caramel flavor followed by The smooth taste of cashews for almost half and ending with a bit of bite as was the beginning with no trace of bitterness! This cigar remains satisfyingly smooth and creamy through out the 1 hour of burn time. I have smoked this cigar in all sizes and different times of the day and consider the Robusto my favorite .

Sounds more like Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey than a cigar.

I aim to be trying my first MOW this very evening (so long as the lingering flavour of tonight's curry isn't too strong)
