    Good Friday all!
So, after hearing raves about this brand, I ran into an event that Pete Johnson hosted at a local Tobacconist in San Francisco Wednesday. Sad to say, I missed Mr. Johnson himself, and had I known the quality of the cigar at the time, I would have muddled through my beer and hunger induced headache and stuck around. All the same, I picked up a sampler before leaving and, well, I'm am officially blown away. I didn't think a nc could be so indistinguishable from a cc. These are great cigars, I'd say, and in the interest of spreading and developing the word, I wanted to get any input on your experiences with this brand

So far I've had a Havana VI Nobles and an El Triumfador (size ?), both fantastic. I'm going to smoke either a Miami or a Cabaiguan this weekend (most likely both), and then I think it's box time. So, before all that, what say you?

I say these are getting some very positive text on here lately Soulman.

As I've posted elsewhere, I've only had the experience of the Havana VI Victoria, and it was a fine smoke indeedy. Glad to hear you've had a positive experience too

I'm sure other members will pop along soon and feed in

Couldn't agree with you more Wes. Quite honestly the best nc I have ever had now has been a tatauje. Namely the j21 which I believe belongs to the brown band or miami line?

I have had the t1100, a couple of la riquezas, several different brown bands. All have been good cigars. But the j21 was the best.

As for time for a box? Just got my first box in yesterday!

Well My fellow and sisters of the leaf !
Welcome to the land of OZ ! This is truly a fantastic brand and been smoking them for years now. Never really mentioned before because of the price point . Now that its out these cigars give anything a run for the dough. Another Don Pepin creation !

Another new Pepin creation is the Nestor Miranda 1989.

The J21 is indeed the Miami line, my sample of which I've yet to try, and I'm quite excited to do so.

By the way, Brian, you don't look so good.

Yeah I've not been feeling so well lol! Btw......just finished a tat unico and it was pretty good! The only thing that turns me off about tatauje is the price. U can get a kick ass box of cubans for the price of a really good box of tats......I'm still gonna keep a few boxes on hand.

True, though have you had the Triumfadors? These are pretty tasty and not too expensive, at least not compared to the other lines.

Sweet! I loved the Triumfador, even more than the Havana VI I had--I'm just waiting to try a few more from the brand before buying some!

                        Blown Away?

Well muchachos...I tried a Tatuaje recently (robusto size, don't remember the name) while visiting a fine cigar shop in the States (DC actually) and must say I found it to be quite mild and nice, but not the shit in your pants stogie that many others have experienced.

I plan to try a few more before I reach a final verdict.

Hey el Perro! What the heck were you doing in the Capital City?

(Ahem!) That's for me to know and you to find out....NOT!

No, mate....maybe that's the problem. I asked the the nino working in the shop what was one of the best to try, but I didn't get the impression who knew much about cigars.

What do you recommend I try?

I've only had two thus far--the El Triumfador and the Havana VI Nobles. I much preferred the El Tirumfador--struck me as a cross between a Mag 46 and a RASS. Quite tasty, though the Havana was no terrible experience either. Both left that awesome tang that, to this point, I thought you could only get from cc's. However, I believe Kingcohiba has tried more.

As I recall, I had a Cabaiguan last year on the recommendation of a local tobacconist and was unimpressed. That has the yellow band. Mayhaps you had this specimen?
