Thats the fist time I heard one dimensional ! When referring to Oliva V

The Oliva O, O Maduro and the V are very good cigars. The G is my least favorite.

What do you guys think of the Connecticut? I had one the other day and have to admit that although it is not very complex it is an impressive cigar for this type of wrapper. Tastes a bit like NUB Connecticut, but better.

Never tried the Connecticut. I'm not a big fan of the Connecticut wrappers. I find them to be to mild for my taste.

I had my first Oliva G a few months ago and thought it was cardboard. I have a few left and will give them a whirl in a few. So I'm hoping it was a bad bad cigar.

The Oliva Connecticut, at least for my standards, is not mild by a stretch - while it is not as powerful as the 601 Black label it is definiytely more a medium smoke.

Anything by Pete Johnson. I really like the ambos mundos line of his, or cabiguan (tatuaje goes without saying...).

I don't mean to disparage Oliva too much, but I stand by the one dimensional comment...JMHO. They are sort of a baseline for decent NC's but no better. I think they are priced rightly, 5-7$ for a robusto.

FWIW I love strong cigars.

I really like the 601 Green & Red...have not tried the Black, Blue, or the Connecticut.

I sure have. Like it alot...like you said, strong & great flavor. Try the Coronado by LFD...very good smoke!
