Dressed in a dark, Cuban-seed wrapper from the Dominican Republic, Augusto Reyes Gran Cru uses a long-filler mixture of Piloto Cubano, Criollo ?98, and Cubano tobaccos....all of which were grown in the Dominican as well.Smoked my second Toro Gran last night and it defiantly lives up to its description. The Toro Gran was a wonderful size for watching an entire football game with time afterward to chat with friends.Spice abounds this cigar but never did it turn hot or harsh. This is another sleeper discovered for you by G-man

I smoked this stick a couple of days ago (at least it was a Toro-sized Grand Cru), on the recommendation of one of the guys who runs a shop I go to. And for around 3.50 euro I thought it was decent value.

An impressive stick, with a good looking dark even wrapper, and a hefty leather and spice aroma.

The burn was good and easy throughout, the flavour (singular) punchy and peppery. There was very little sweetness despite the dark wrapper, and no subltely whatsoever.

Not really my cup of tea, but I'll probably pick up the odd one again in the future.

When U burn your next,try it with a Rum & Coke I have found this to bring out most sweetness in cigars. The dark wrapper was not a maduro so that could be Y.

Not much of a rum and coke man myself. But I can definitely see where you're coming from.

As I smoked it I thought: "This needs something sugary" and it went well with sweet, cheap Spanish brandy.

Those Osborne boys make a good brew.

Looks like the stick I had. But in Spain they come in bundles, individually wrapped in cellophane, and with an extra gold band at the foot.
