I am most interested to hear the thoughts from anybody who has tried the new Cain range from Oliva. They are entirely made from ligero leaf, this should mean a unique and maybe interesting smoke. So anybody?

"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love, they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock!"
Never tried these either......but if you are interested in ligero cigars I can highly recommend the la flor dominicana ligero or better yet the double ligero. Only had one of each myself. But the double ligero really blew me away. Don't know that I've ever had a cigar this strong before. Very flavorful too. Put me on my ass for sure. Thought I was gonna die or something! I saw a big white light and everything! Lol
Well, you selected my smoke for this evening. Smoking the Habano wrapped version. Nice construction, smooth oliy wrapper and quite firm.
Bit of spice from the get go. Calmed down in the first 1/2 inch. Reminds me a bit of the Rocky Patel Edge but a bit smoother. Not as strong as I would have suspected for an all ligero smoke. This tobacco must have some good age on it as it's smooth and not a bit harsh. Nice even burn with a good amount of smoke. Lots of spice through the nose but more of a wood and leather on the finish with a bit of pepper in the back of the throat now and again. I've been told it gets stronger as you burn it so we shall see!

The Ligero is triple fermented to stop the Harshness.
Coming into the home stretch now. Pretty smooth to the end. A bit of cedar and sweeter woods with a nice earthyness. Little increase in the power but not a kick in the teeth. The volume of smoke is great but it's a "thin" smoke and not at all overpowering and thick like some fuller bodied smokes. Great blend.
I would like to smoke a few more but it seems to be worthy of a box purchase.
Enjoy Matt. If you like fuller cigars you wont be disappointed!
Where is everybody sourcing them from? They do a sampler?

When the King speaks on this one you should listen ! This is a cigar worth the Money. Its a full body full flavor stick of Dynamite. Not overly overpowering but not for the beginner! One look at this stogie and you knowthat it was well thought out and to made perfection. For a long and exciting adventure they also make a factory press which is even longer and more full bodied cigar. Both are produced by the same factory and name. I believe dollar for dollar the only cigar that is better as far as flavor profile then the La flor dominicana ligero is the 601 green which is produced by none other the Don Pepin Now the double ligero And Factory Press by LFD Are in a leauge of their own !
