  • Vega Fina Cigars

I go to Spain often and in every Tabacos shop one of the main advertising features is Vega Fina cigars.

The brand is from the Dominican Republic so I thought I would give one a try and discovered an enjoyable cigar which is pretty cheap.

The wrappers are fairly dark and they are well constructed with no soft spots. The burn was even and produced a very bright white ash. The predominant flavour I got from it was of dark chocolate with a very slight sweetness about it. All in all a very nice cigar.

The best feature of it was the price, at about 4 Euros for the robusto and 2 Euros for the Perlas (4x42) I think this offers great value for money with the rest of the range offering great value for money.

If you can get your hands on one of these then give it a try, you may be quite surprised and at the price they are good cigars to have.

The Vega Fina is a good budget cigar, enjoyed many of these when I was just starting out smoking cigars...

        Coronas.

I`m sure i tried a box of Coronas years ago and from what I remember they were not too bad at all.Came in a nicely presented box from what I remember.

my modest budget doesnt always stretch to premium cubans so i've often picked up a box of v.f coronitas or robustos as an everyday cigar - a nice mild cigar at a very good price.

Like you I have smoked these on occasion in Spain. I enjoyed a Perla in Palma yesterday.

It conformed exactly to my previous experience; well-constructed with an even, possibly too-easy, burn. Light and delicate milky flavours, with some sweetness.

Very little development of flavour throughout the cigar, but no build-up of bitterness either.

They are priced well for a quality product, but I wouldn't buy them.
