Plastic wrappers on NC's

How best to answer Mr Horsebox's question?

Let's all pretend that Mr Plymouth went to a Boot Sale and by some miracle came back with a box of Partagas Coronas A Mejorado. Then being Mr Plymouth he removed all the old cello from the cigars and while he was at it he threw away the box, after all it is only packaging.

Moral of the story. If it comes packed in a box wearing cello leave it alone. It's there for a good reason or the manufacturers wouldn't go the expense of putting it on.

I keep them on as I only have a few, if I wanted to age them I'd remove it all and sit them together but to be honest I'm not really fussed. The reason I have most of my NCs is either for cheapness or novelty. I did have a smoke with [MENTION=13402615]PeeJay[/MENTION] though and I might have to get myself a box of Monte whites from Dominican. I'm pretty sure I'd leave the wrappers on in that box too.

I think discolouration of the cello wrappers is dues to the organic nature of the cellophane - so it degrades over time, hence the discolouration and if you keep it long enough, the brittleness.
I keep mine on generally - the only exception is if I take a cigar out to give it a feel/sniff and can't get the bloody thing back on afterwards.
