A. We are not talking about anything illegal. The kit is sold as a cigar rolling kit. So I would bet good money that NO customer of that site was yet asked to pay duty on any cigars they might or might not have rolled from this for their own consumption.
B. We are also not discussing anything illegal or ways to dodge taxes. So I don't see how this should be a problem in this forum.
C. What could have been an interesting thread about an interesting self rolled cigar is now a boring thread about taxes and forum etiquette.
Matt, I hope you don't got scared by the fear mongering to write us a review on the flavours you got from your stick. I'd still be very interested to read it.

Well im sorry you feel that way. I think your wrong to suggest "Fear mongering" though. But in response to your points.
A. The retailer obviously feels it has an obligation to have a visible warning in place. Avoidance of duty IS illegal and how readily this is enforced is no deffence in law. Or should we start encouraging people onto the site who sell dodgy fags just because it happes at so and so's workplace and they have never been caught.
B. It was only pointed out that there are duty obligations, pointed out for the benefit of members of this site and browsers of the internet alike. Are you saying that as a community we have no vested interest in making sure that we are not ambiguous about the forums stance on the law?
C. Just hit the ignore button of anyone who's responses you find boring. The discussion has not been stopped and it hasnt been suggested it should do.
I agree that it would be interesting to hear how Matt's attempts turn out.
Finally
I couldnt really care less about what individuals do and dont pay. But as an invested member of this community I do feel its my place to point out that the stance of the site is always to encourage adherement to all of the laws of the land.Licky Licky before Sticky Sticky. - Puff Scotty 22/03/14

Sorry if this caused any upsets in the community, I only intended this thread as a bit of fun to let you all see how my little experiment turns out. I'm not saying that making cigars is a good and profitable thing to, it's just a little fun and something that I will probably do once and then realise that I should have just bought a few Por Larranaga's instead.
Hope this ends peacefully with everyone, as a small but passionate community we all need to stick together. I will happily pay the few quid on taxes if needs be.
Let's all just enjoy our cigars, I'll leave it there
