Cant think why someone would be afraid to admit how many NC's they smoke?
Nothing against this poll as I think its interesting to hear what others like but I personally think its pretty difficult to compare Cubans against NC's as one 'type', theres so much variation between the NC's. You're talking about cigar production from so many other countries.. From the USA, the obvious Caribbean Islands, South America through to Philippines, Holland etc.
There are good NC's, there are bad NC's. There are cheap NC's and expensive NC's. There are a lot more NC's therefore a much bigger range.
What there aren't so much of are producers of cheap CC's so some smokers look toward NC's as a cheaper alternative and then all NC's get tagged as the cheaper or inferior alternative.
IMO there are NC's out there that beat some Cubans hands down.
I also think there are 2 types of NC smoker. Those looking for a cheaper smoke and those who have perhaps found a cigar they like and aren't afraid to admit that the product is as good as those of Cuba.
If Im looking for a new cigar, the reason I smoke more Cubans is down to the fact that there are less of these variations and therefore an increased chance of finding a quality product.
