"Moderately well and slowly increasing with support over the few hours?" A t least it's less controversial than the last one.

I'm only asking questions to stimulate conversation and figure out other people's smoking habits. But for once, the forum actually DOESN'T want to talk! Oh the humanity!!

Haha! Well, between you and me chico, it's a boring question. Who the hell cares how many ncs someone smokes?I certainly don't.

But HEY! That's just me! I certainly don't want to spoil the party for the rest of you mugs, so I'll go....(very soon!)

I just put in 1 in 100 but I immediately remembered that would be accurate up until last christams but since then I have had a couple of vintage Jamaicans & no doubt will have a few more this yr so overall 50 to 1 would be fairer. Good idea for a poll Buttters.

Until a year or two ago it would be zero ... But I have smoked 3 non Cuban cigars in the last year and a half .

            so that's about 1 in every 200 .

still no vote because this choix was not available .

Maybe 1 in 20. Im open minded to a nice cigar wherever it came from, however I dont like wasting my time on cigars that I dont like, I seem to have found more CC's that I like.

How many CC brands/manufacturers are there?

How many NC brands/manufacturers are there?

With all the cigars out there it would be a huge shame not to try a few! Good or bad there is a lot of effort been put into producing these cigars!

Yes CC are nice but I do think there is a bit of snobbery when it comes to cigars.

And I know there will be lots of members thinking

“I’ve done my time, Smoked loads of crappy cigars, so I will stick to the Cubans that I know and love!”

There is new NC producers appearing all the time and the dedicated CC fellowship is missing out on some fantastic smokes!

Playing it safe if you ask me!

Yes there will be a few forum members that have 4000 or 6000 posts that think they know everything there is to know about cigars because all they smoke is CC, its bull imo because it’s the young/new members that are trying both CC and NC smokes from all over the world that are gaining masses of knowledge and experience.

Harrumph! Uhhh, you had me chico lovegod until the last paragraph (quoted above). We Coros cover many generations - from the birth of the Rock and Roll (don TJ ) through the dumb-ass millenniums (BJ ) - so we have a vast, collective knowledge of the cigar/puro community from many perspectives, if I do say so myself.

I see no evidence that puro snobbery is related to age - be it the number of year on earth or time on this forum - and post count. Furthermore, I know no current members that meet the criteria you mention above - high post counts and knows everything because they only smoke puros. But there are members that vastly prefer puros over NCs and visa versa, some of who are/were quite passionate about their preference boarding on snobbery. But I don't believe it has anything to do with age and post count. I could name names and cite examples, but I don't want to bore you, so I'll leave it at that.

Now, we all know in our heart of hearts that puro snobs come in all shapes, sizes, and colors, but any relationship to age and post count in coincidental. BTW, I suspect don TJ, god rest his soul, had more experience with NCs than most of the members on this forum, both young and old, and he only smoked the best - puros and ncs.

Let me summarize by saying that you make some fine points in your post, muchacho, but CC snobbery and cigar knowledge have little to do with post count and age. And if you don't believe me, look no further than chicos buttermeballs and peesinhisjays!

I?m in no way trying to say that the old timers do not know there stuff because they do, but if people want to be a true aficionado then some people may need to be a little more experimental!

I could not agree more, amigo. Expanding one's cigar/puro experiences is how we learn and grow. And perhaps my perception is limited somewhat because most of us Coros cut our teeth on NCs before we were allowed to partake in the almighty puro. So while we prefer puros, in general, we also appreciate fine NCs and purchase 'em when we come across the good ones.

Why, I remember the time at the height of the great cigar boom in the late 90's when there were many NCs that rivaled, and even surpassed, many CCs. But that, in part, was due to the low quality of puros produced then....some say because Cuba was rushing leaf to market to take advantage of the cigar boom.

Either way, since NC popularity began to take off after the embargo, NC producers continue to improve the growing, aging and manufacturing techniques and quality control to a point where there are many NCs produced today that rival some of the best puros - a few of which even share the top shelf of don TJ's massive unit along side of his finest puros.

The trick is to find them among a lot of NC crap that is also available today.

                              Perro, el Perro

Haha! You use way too many words, dawg face....no normal person is going to waste time reading this crap.
