  • Holiday to the USA

I am off on holiday in September to the good old USA. I would love to hear any opinions of cigars I should pick up while there. Also any ideas of where to get them in Boston or New York. Had a little google but if any one has any experience with a specific shop that would be helpful.

Hope this does not contravene the talking about buying abroad rules. Let me know if it does Deano.

US stores and lounges are fine to discuss. They're not sending you stuff so it's fine.

I ordered 10 different types of cigars from the USA for family to bring back a month ago. So far have made my way through half of them and my two recommendations so far would be Illusione Epernay and Padron 1964.

The only stuff that I really want to buy if I get a good deal is opusx. It would have to be a good deal though.

Cheers mbro I did have a look through you thread it was very interesting.

Are there any particularly north American brands or are the mostly NCs from elsewhere.

Whilst talking about the USA Sears got stopped and searched on his return and they made him break two boxes of Cubans into a waste basket. They did say he could keep the boxes if he wished!

I won't be buying Cubans in the USA. I don't see the point.

You can't, that's why they stopped him. He bought them on holiday in Europe.

                      Davidoff , Madison avenue

You can smoke in Carnegie Club , cost you $10 if you take in your own , if you have a Davidoff receipt from that day $10 waived

Theres a couple of cigar shops around Times square , think it was Midtown cigars i visited , big big shop , i heard it may have closed now , worth looking into , in case it reopened ,they stocked Monty New York , made just for them

Jaumie Garcia robusto a nice stick if you like A LOT of pepper and spice , readily available

That would make me physically sick to have to do that

That's what I thought but shops in Boston seam to have a lot of cuban bands or are they american copies.

Almost every Cuban marque has a non-Cuban copy, don't have the space to go into it here but have a dig through some old threads
