That is a very sexy looking cigar and a cool looking box. It is exactly the kind of cigars my wife buys as my Christmas gift. She looks for the "coolest looking" cigars that are priced high enough to be good. Sadly, that usually translates to cigars that taste mediocre.


If a cigar is great, it does not needall the hype. It gets the support it needs on UK Cigar Forums andother forums due to quality and flavor. I hope that cigar is half asgood as it looks, because then it would be a great smoke. I will haveto wait for someone else to buy one and try it, though. I prefer tobuy cigars with a reputation, not a big ad campaign budget.


(Note to my wife, go ahead and buy thatsexy box of cigars. The box is cool enough I want it for mycollection.)

I've noticed that most of the cigars you see for the american market that we don't get over here have fancy bands. They often look really cool which presumably entices people to buy them but a lot of these cigars will be rubbish no doubt

quoting most honourable, senor, don TJ coro (well... one of them):
gurkha used to be a very respectable brand with good products. then the cigar boom happened. They had to mass produce cigars up the whazoo and that needed people to buy. with newbies fluttering the market, they dressed up their products so well that they kept that even after the turn of the millennium because they just sold so damn well! and now it stays: shite cigars with pretty packaging. (well maybe the flying pig is good )
oh and don't forget rocky patel! the name and ceo practically speaks for itself.... and the cruise line *shudders*

I think the Alec Bradley Black Market range are better than their fancy packaging though. The Punk is my current favourite smoke.

I think the Alec Bradley Prensado cigar bands looks awesome but based on the reviews I've seen it's actually supposed to be good as well

Just don't judge a book by its cover, try and judge for yourself.
My experience says that Rocky Patel 1990 are very good and Aging Room M356 is utter crap.

The Aging Room often reviews very well indeed.
