  • Danneman cigars

I just wondered if many (or any) Forum members included the Danneman label or Brazilian leaf cigars in their NC humidors. In fact, it was the Brazilian leaf cigar that first attracted me to cigar smoking, whilst posted in (then) West Germany. The cigars were big and fat, very dark and - best of all - very cheap. I realise, of course, that they have never been at the height of cigar quality but I suspect that they have become poor relations to 'new world' brands. I always buy a box or two when in Germany and still enjoy them from time to time. Anyone else ?

You're right, of course, but I find them quite different and you don't come across the Brazilian leaf much elsewhere. I have always liked to include an occasional Danneman simply to remind me that there are tastes beyond Cuba and the new world. One of the reasons I'm exploring more NCs.

I love the Dona Flor Selecca range that has a thick juicy Brazilian wrapper, could almost make bike gloves out of it!
