Chinchalro Novilla - Fuerte Maduro

I've just ordered 10 of these from C.Gars (my first purchase from them) and wondered if anyone can tell me what to expect. At 60g they are bigger than my usual smokes but I just felt that I should try them. Others experiences would be greatly appreciated. Novillo - of course - forgive the spelling mistake. I'm having a bad pc morning - I should have posted CHINCHALERO NOVILLO - FUERTE MADULO

Can I bump this one again, especially as I've been reading the thread about the Inka blend offerings. I know the Chinchalero is a bigger ring gauge and probably not to everyone's taste but, presumably, someone out there has tried them. Please !

Ive had a box of these. They are fairly cheap sticks, Im guessing they are the equivalent of 1 or 2$ sticks in the US, like the quorums - thats why they are fairly cheap here, the tax is what you are paying for, rather than the tobacco. They are hit and miss.... if you get a decent batch they are reasonable forgetable sticks. Something you can have with a beer and it will go down ok. If you get a bad batch, they have a petrolly sort of taste to them and it is a struggle to get through. I have had a similar amount of both. The better chinchaleros to go for are the chicos or perlas, the larger maduros are more inconsistent in my opinion. I guess since youve bought them its good luck! Let us know how they go.

I have smoked a few chinchaleros, I find them ok quite a sweet tasting smoke, only had one novillo maduro while camping last year it was an ok smoke, especially for the price, a smoke you don't have to /want to give your undivided attention I have smoked a lot worse, hope that helps David

Cannot comment on the sticks, but have had 2 orders from C.Gars, very fast, a few extras thrown in and generally good people to deal with.
I had a slight issue on one of my orders which i did not discover until 3 weeks later; fast responce to email, and a more than fair resolution to the problem.
On that basis i am more than happy to recommend them.

Oh, and another thing, or two; just smoked the secret blend blue robusto, review tomorrow, had their Nicaraguan selection PC last week, that was a very good smoke, worth a try.

On reflection, I'm not too worried about tackling a 60 ring gauge. I've decided to close my eyes and think back to a certain lady friend from the 1960s - an enthusiastic young man learning the art of snogging. Taking on a 60 ring gauge should be a piece of cake by comparison ! Ah fond memories - distant, but fond nevertleless !
