Looking forward to reading the articles mate! most of my cigar smoking has been with the new worlds, as the community i joined back in Aus was heavily influenced by the market in the states, so we were heavily into the NWs, and i did notice straight away that fellas over here in the UK are alot more into their CCs, which was a pleasant and welcome surprise!
We are more into the CCs, but only because we don't have the selection the US etc have. It's hard to find the gems amongst them, so any recommendations and reviews are most welcome!
Yes, there is a bit of an issue with levels of stock and variety of good NW sticks - and there are some, believe me. UK humidor space is tiny compared to the US and NW sticks are fighting for inches of shelf space against much-heralded Cubans. Tough call. But things are slowly changing and part of the reason for the series is to assess the clamour for that change. Keep reading - we should be able to announce some interesting news for cigar lovers in coming weeks and months. Thanks for your input.
A couple of questions, who is the 'we' you are referring to? If you are representing a commercial company we should probably move to 'retailers/brands'.

Blimey Monks...living in the dark??
Monty Cristo..aka Nick Hammond is an online journalist who has published cigar articles/reviews in all sorts of national magazines etc & is an editor at the Arburturian & has posted I believe with C.Gars & many others.
Don't piss him off or we'll be all over the front page...

I know who Nick is and am sure he is not pissed off by a reasonable question. I think it'll be ok puffy, don't be scared

If, old mate, you knew...why want to move to retailers/brands ... please don't go OTT with the moderation, I think we've all had enough of that lately!
I think it's more you being paranoid than me being scared....
Puffs don't scare easy!
Thanks for the tip off, muchacho! Looking forward to your articles.
I've enjoyed both NCs and Puros for many years now, but tend to prefer Puros. But I'm always on the lookout for quality NCs. Yesterday I enjoyed CA's Number 5 cigar of the year - A. Fuente Rosado sungrown Magnum R Vitola - which I thought was a decent stick, certainly box worthy, and tomorrow I plan to smoke the Number 1 - Flor de las Antillas Toro.
But that's just me.
Perro, el Perro
Haha! wazup, el P? No emoticons? (Ahem!) Just showing a little respect for a noteworthy aficionado, unlike some of the posers around these parts, like PuffDaddy and that Monkey fellow!
sigpicVaya con Dios, Amigos! - don TJ and the Coros
Blimey - I go away for a few days, and look what happens! Just for clarity, Monkey, the 'we' I was referring to was the Arbuturian who I write regularly on cigars for. Apols if it was un-politic of me.
Thanks for your feedback, all, and your noted deference TJ I'd be interested in your thoughts on the Flor de las Antillas. I've been smoking the A Fuente Chateaue Fuente sungrown robusto for a while and think it's a good stick at a great price.
