I have three Don Tomas Presidents left and will probably have one after Christmas lunch. I also have a tubed Punch Monarcas in my singles box just waiting to be smoked - I hate smoking singles in case I like them too much !

Too true - like that last measure of a 50 year old malt when you know you can't afford another bottle !

Also Dominican, IIRC. (Many of the 'Cuban' marques became duplicated after the revolution, as the original owners decided that they rather liked the idea of owning the brand that they, well, owned...)

Yes, they are rather nice, aren;t they - I had a couple on my last trip to the States. Very agreeable.

If I could be bothered, I'd do a search for an old thread from a couple of years back in which I posted a rather long (and, I like to think, very well researched) piece on the duplications of brands (and the potential implications should the American embargo be lifted), so I should be okay... (Though one could argue just how good a researcher I am after a few whiskies... which was undoubtedly my state at the time...) Altadis are, again IIRC, the owners of the Dominican RyJ brand, as they also own 50% of Habanos SA one could argue that they own both RyJ brands...

That's why I left it to Arf, I'm bound to get something wrong after a dram or two...

got a few that will be hard to choose from: LP Ratzilla, Tatuaje Wolfman, LP Feral Flying Pig, Padron '64 or AB Prensado. Dunno what will get torched, depends on how long I've got and how hot it is
