While I was in town yesterday I popped into the Davidoff store and met Snr Edwin Orlando Payero Fermin a senior roller from the Dominican Davidoff factory.
He was rolling the Davidoff Eminentes 6.25 inches long, 50 ring gauge. He is in the store until Saturday and if you get a chance pop in and see a real master at work.
He is a really great roller, I didn't see his stop and he finishes the cigar cap using the main section of wrapper. unlike Cuban rollers who cut a separate section of cap.
The fresh cigar off the bench was wonderful, he presses them so they are firmer than the completely hand rolled cigars I have had from the Cuban roller and the wrapper was dark and really oily.
