              Puff,

Ha ha ha...exactly - have you seen the review by "Friends of Habanos" on the Open Junior (HERE)...it's hilarious...Ken (old wine duffer) has his stick go out about 5 times...class review.

Junior well and truly gets it in the neck...

Har Har..do you think they went into the review with an 'Open' mind?

My one experience with a Monte Open was so truly, excruciatingly awful that I will never give them a second shot. Some people seem to reckon that they are a bit better now (mostly "ooh, it's a Cuban" Americans), but then again, some people actually smoke Guantanamos... The Open Regata is the only cigar I have not been able to smoke at least two-thirds of, it was unbelievably rubbish (verging on the offensive) and was tossed into the Thames after barely an inch had passed. I understand that a record number of fish were washed up dead during the following week.

That one aside, I love your haul. Envying your humidor already - oh for a couple of go-to style boxes in mine.

Thread hijack apologies... on the subject of go-to boxes, how are those ERdM PC's you had a while back coming along? Smoked the 2nd of the ones I had at the Rugby on Saturday - exactly what the Doc ordered for a 1 o'clock smoke with my first beer of the day.

Erm... none left. Have to admit that they were well and truly a go-to for me, hitting the spot pretty much every time; it would be fair to say that they didn't last long beyond a six-week rest... That's the problem with my humidors - I've got probably around 50 cigars between the two, but they're mainly singles, and most of them are things like REs, special releases and aged cigars that I've picked up over the last couple of years, and I can't bring myself to smoke them! So, when a box of standard production cigars go into it, they tend to get hit pretty hard, pretty quickly...
