  • Promise and responsibility.

My post comes late morning and I was just about to pop out when a piece of unexpected mail arrived. Opening revealed two sticks, with a small note and the sketched handwriting, that anyone who's been on the receiving end of his generosity, instantly recognises as being Simon Bolivar.

    The Habanos are:

ERdM Panetelas Larga. These were discontinued during the 90s, and you would have thought that more than good enough as a gift for anyone to receive, but oh no, not when Simon's the giver. This stick is a C. Gars auction bought 70s vintage. But it comes with a price, which is that I enjoy and Review it at the earliest opportunity, sunny day this Year. It's a promise I will be delighted to keep, but also slightly reluctant to keep, because smoking it, is going to leave me feeling like I've just run-over the last Panda.

Rafael Gonzales Lonsdales. Discontinued 2006, Simon's cigar is an 01. As you can read Simon has admonished me for not including one in my 'Lonsdales' Reviews. A bit of an oversight I grant, but I thought I was only doing Lanceros.

But Autumn isn't that far away, and looking in the humi I think I can put together most of them. So yeah why not. Lonsdales Reviews after Lanceros.

Thanks Si, for a smashing gift and the chance to smoke some lovely cigars that are sadly no longer with us.

Wow, from the picture they look very nice, and the details written certainly make them a desired addition, looking forward to the review, great gift.

Glad they arrived safe, can't imagine why I thought you were doing Lonsdales, when I did remember you had a Trini Fundadores in the collection. I'll just blame it one the rush from getting back from the UK on hols to leaving Belgium to come back to work. It's been a very hectic 3/52 & I haven't really had time to post much during it. I have the photos of the box of ERDM PL & I'll post them tonight.
