  • Productive trip to London

    Hey Chaps,

Had to pop down the smoke today for a meeting and I managed to find time to pop across to JJ Fox's.
Lovely shop, great service and a decent chat with the guy who served me.
I went armed with recommendations from my last "new in the humi" thread and, with some help from the chap in Fox's came away with these lovely sticks:

    Bolivar Belicosos
    Trinidad Reyes
    Cohiba Secretos
    Montecristo #5
    Hoyo Epicure 2

Very chuffed and I'll certainly pop there again next time I'm in the vicinity; they even put up with my dodgy Brummie accent!

I've not tried a "big" ring gauge cigar yet so looking forward to the Hoyo. Just need to find a spare afternoon to fit that monster in!

Nice... what are you going to get stuck into first? I've tried the Reyes & the No.5... would love to try the Secretos!

The Bolivar is looking very tempting to be honest - maybe I'll find a spare hour or so this weekend amongst all the wedding planning.

Great selection. The boli is the biggest and strongest of all your sticks there, I would suggest not on an empty stomach for you first big cigar

Great selection you have there, the Reyes, Secretos and Belicosos are my three main smokes. The Bolivar was one of the first smokes I tried where the flavour and character really blew me away, absolutely love it!

Thanks for the advice chaps. I've been slowing down my smokes after feeling a little green around the gills from puffing away.
Maybe the Boli should sit in my humi for a while until the summer where I can sit outside and really get to grips with it.
