Notice the Especial No2 Boli 'Error' band. The white text is missing. In PM, Simon's told me the Bolis are still smoking a bit green. So these will be tucked away and left untouched for a while.

Simon's Special Gift was the little ERdM. Simon had noticed I'd reviewed the cigar, and one of my notes refers to the 20 years recommended ageing period. Well, now thanks to Si I've got one, which he wants me to review and to share my experience with you guys.

the same thing was said about the bolivar EL2009, most found them unsmokable (is that even a word?), now they're supposed to be great, according to the friends of habanos video review (rob and kenny scored it 90-91 points, good enough for me):

why not try out one of your especials as a 'bench mark' and let us know how they are? btw, this is a size i'm becoming more interested in nowadays (love the monte especials and trini fundadores, i've yet to try the cohiba lancero)!!! a bolivar especial is just too good to be true!!!

Glad to see they all arrived safely. If you can be patient, I'd wait till a really warm spring day to try the first Espi No2, tuck yourself out of any breeze & enjoy the more delicate flav than one usually expects from a Boli.
As for the ERDM DT 20yo, it's one of those cases of just whishing I'd brought half a dozen boxes before they finally sold out. But I have a box from '05 & they are already a decent smoke. Next time I go to Spain, I'll buy 6 boxes & see how long I can make them last, just might get to enjoy a similarly wonderful smoke in my 70's
