  • Won these in the C.Gars Vintage Auction

Put in a bid over the net for these and won!

They are 1997 Sancho Panza Sanchos and they are the biggest cigars I've ever seen!!! One picture shows one next to a Monte No.4 to give an idea of the size.

Didn't manage to look at them before I bid, but happily they seem in good condition - just one of them has a slightly cracked foot.

Congratulations, maybe not a short winter smoke lol. When do you plan on breaking the first one in?

Oh good man. I have a box from 2001 and love them as an alternate smoke once in a while. I love the salty unique flavours from a good Sancho Panza. The Belicoso is also damn well worth trying when they have a few years on them.

Hang on. I just looked back at the auction catalogue. Lot 48 is a box of ten Sanchos from 99, is that the one you won? All the other Sanchos listed are from 97 and are in boxes of 25, or so it claims. I am very confused, I never thought this came as a box of 25!

Correct that error was corrected at auction. Although, I have seen once in my life a box of corona gigantes in 25s. Very weird.

Ha ha!! A short winter smoke they are not. I think they'll be a special occasion smoke when I really have the time to savour and enjoy them.

Big T they are lot 224, and no they didn't come in boxes of 25, that was just a misprint on the catalogue. I was reminded of this by Mitch before the bid went through so I was under no illusions!

I've heard these need 10-15 years on them before they really start to come good, so hopefully they're about ready now

Congrats Monkey nuts, I hope you find the time & the place to enjoy them. Interested to know how you get on with them, I found them a very poor second to the Monte A. And two hrs is a long smoke if you're not really getting much from it. Love the SP Belicosis though.

Great looking box, can I ask how much you got them for in the end?

Smoked one in the summer and loved it. Bought from Davidoff's, where they still have plenty at a good price.
