Upgrading my meagre stash!
Long story, nice ending, Viva la Cgars (not a paid advertisement!)
Decided to take the plunge and upgrade my 1 month old humidor 25ct (I know, didn't listen) scanned eBay, bid on loads of 75ct and above, beaten on all of them.
Looked at sites abroad, didn't want to wait for a few weeks to get one (greed) and had concerns if it arrived damaged.
Looked at the UK based sites and found the one I wanted, being a silly sod and only associating Cgars with Cigars (bought my first two stashes of CC's from them last month) didn't bother looking at their site.
Luckily at the last minute I did.
Found a Better Humi at a better price than on the dedicated humi sites (I know Cgars own's one of em).
Phoned up at 9:00 spoke to Michelle, she checked and said she had one in stock, rather than have it delivered (and I had the kids at home driving me nuts) decided to take the trek from Bromley to sunny Kilburn.
An hour and a bit later we (kids in tow) pitched up at Cgars, and went in to examine the humi.
Went into the walk in humi in their warehouse (Like man heaven, but smells better I'm sure) and Michelle unboxed the Humi to check it.
It had one tiny flaw on the Cedar inside, where the handles had been fitted one of the cedar panels had moved away from exterior by about 1mm!
Michelle looked very upset, and said she'd order me another, I suggested I could fix it with some natural wood glue and a vice!
anyway to cut an increasingly long story short, took the humi, Michelle offered me a discount due to the damage, got a Monte Sublime as a freebie for the flaw, kids got fawned over and shown around the Humi, kids given handfuls of sweets, and they even put a 'Vanilla Girlie Candle' in the box for my missus.
Got home got the tool kit out and fixed the flaw, left overnight to dry.
I've got a fantastic new humi, at a great price, and a Free Monte Sublime to smoke at my next Poker game on Friday.
Extraordinary customer service, Michelle is an absolute star.
What a big difference this experience was to ordering over the interwebs from the U.S!
Note: Mitchell Orchant if you get to read this give Michelle a bonus this year, recession or not, it's service that like that breeds loyalty.
