The only possible issue with a NFP, as I can see it, would be the difficulty in making it better value than buying singularly anyway. Unless a guarantee of x boxes per month for y number of months could be made, I suspect that it would be difficult to get 'value' for the turnover. E.g. The sample selection I made was about ?33 from CGars. So, at ?30, a saving of about 10%. A company, buying at trade from H&F, can still turn a profit on that (not a fantastic one, but enough, if it's regular).

It doesn't change the good idea of trying a relatively random selection of cigars once a month for variety though.

It was something I'd thought about previously (when considering the lunacy of setting up a store).

As a complete newbie I've been looking for a monthly cigar club but after reading Ctrl's threads and people saying the selections wern't all that great, I didn't bother.

For me I'd rather pay my ?30 and get a random package each month if the organisers are prepared to do that. Also great value isn't massively important, I'm more interested in getting a good selection of cigars from people who know what they are talking (smoking) about

well im glad the threads helped at least one person...

tbh I was only running it to see what they sent, and to help other decide...
Id love to see some member run with the idea of creating a subscription for ukcf....id volunteer, but my knowledge of cigars is not that great...

Watch this space. Actually, watch the for sale forum. I'm going to risk a shot at this...

It's going to be ?30 inc P&P... It will include 4 well received cigars (2xCC, 2xNC), all the various taxes and duties (so no worries, all legal in the UK), one of the cigars is 'special', and a ?1 donation to the forum for each one sold. Maximum of 8 available though.

Will pop a link in here once it's up in the for sale section.

              Linky thing.
