"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love, they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock!"
wow those are damn good looking... and HUGE. I don't think I would be able to smoke something that big. The biggest cigars I have smoked are Churchill size.
Back in the mists of time some Cuban cigars did come in cello, these are in cello but I was not expecting that. I have zero concern that they are fake, the old Hoyo band in correct, the box date/factory is correct, I guess we just did not know about the cello on these. I will ask the oracle of all cigar knowledge when I see him next.
The box split was in aid of something on the horizon, there was no cloak and dagger stuff, I will mention if they smoke well and I want to do more splits.

I think it may have something to do with the coffins. The cello is to prevent the cigars taking on too much aroma from the cedar wood and overpowering the intended flavour of the cigars.
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

Quite possibly, but the Montecristo A's that are in coffins lack the cello. CubanCigarWebsite doesnt shed much light on this. They arent the normal NC type of cello; its a sleeve that is just over the length of the cigar but about an inch and a half wide, which is wrapped around the cigar.
