Yes, I think the whole idea of ‘collecting’ is in itself a satisfying hobby - getting rare smokes, aged ones, trying to complete a Marcas Vitolas, etc. There is also something magical about sourcing a particular box, opening it up, and admiring the smokes! But as potpest has said, ultimately I wanted a larger collection that allowed me to age some stick whilst also permitting me to smoke 4 cigars a week. I also wanted a range of choices to fit with my oh so human/fickle mood/taste. I think if I do develop a serious collection over my life, then I would have to put plans in place to ensure they’re either bequeathed to someone who will smoke ‘em, or the family knows how to sell them!
Though i I am tempted to suggest I am cremetaed with all of my collection... my soul riding on the billows of Cuban twang!!Only the impossible is worth the effort.

Plus with all my favourite smokes being slowly discontinued over the years it's nice to have some of those boxes around for the future.Simon Bolivar: Liberator of Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru & Venezuela.
